So far Make Money Fast has made me zero dollars.  No fear, Make Money with Adsense just got posted so the money should be rolling in any moment.  Though I won’t hold my breath because I need oxygen.  Speaking of which, maybe I should open an oxygen bar blog.  When you read the blog, you get oxygen.  Now that’s a money maker.  Oh, well, maybe next time.  There is some good news to report.  I got my first link coming into Make Money Fast.  What’s the word?  The word is getting links!  Getting links like a banshee, that’s right.  Actually, I didn’t get the link yet.  But it should be on its way any day now.

Getting Links

The only way Google will know that your blog is what you say it is is by getting links.  See Google in all of its infinite wisdom knows enough to know not to trust you.  You can label your site Make Money Fast as I did but Google sees that and says, “Okay, you called your site Make Money Fast, but what do other people think your site is?”  That’s the conundrum it faces.  People lie.  You may say your site is one thing but its search results won’t be accurate if you’re lying.  So how does it avoid this?  It asks other people what your site is.  Not directly.  Google doesn’t knock on your neighbor’s door and say, “We’re trying to do some search engine rankings thingamajig here. So, ya know, like, what’s your neighbor’s blog about?”  Instead, Google does an internet census knocking on people’s virtual doors.  It searches through the entire internet looking for links that are pointing to your blog.  How it does this is a mystery to me and you don’t need to know.  So if it goes around the entire internet and sees links pointing to your site that are calling those links, say, “Jimmy Bob.”  Well, Google will then think your site is about “Jimmy Bob.”  So then when someone searches for “Jimmy Bob,” they find your site.  This is why it’s important to get links pointing to you that have your keyword in them.  For instance, I would want a link pointing to me called — Make Money Fast.  Now this is a difficult keyword so I’ll probably need hundreds of links pointing to me that are all named the same thing.  There’s good links and bad links, but I’ll get to those in a different article.  One way to get links is an….

Article Directory

Good intro, subheading.  There’s a few different ways to get links that can help you make money and I’ll get to them over time.  As I mentioned in my stunningly, terse opening paragraph, I already received one link that’s in the mail, so to speak.  The link I got was from EzineArticles.com.  (BTW, that wasn’t a great link I just gave them. I have my reasons.  For another post.)  This is an article directory.  Or Article Directory if you like to capitalize words that shouldn’t be.  At EzineArticles, you can write an article of your choosing (as long as it makes sense) and link to yourself however you see fit.  So I wrote an article at that article directory about long articles (the article actually wasn’t that long, but long enough by their standards), and linked to myself as Make Money Fast.  When I say, how… you say, getting links.  How?  Getting links… How?  Getting links… Okay, you get the idea.  I suggest to you, my imaginary reader who doesn’t exist, you go over to that Ezine thing and write yourself an article and link yourself.  There’s other article directories but I only have done that one so far.  That article directory was actually much easier to use than I thought it might be.  I.e. it was easy to get links from that article directory.
