In my quest to Make Money Fast I’ve still made zippo, zilch, nada, nyet.  Today, I’m going to talk about making money fast with SEO.  SEO is Search Engine Optimization for you noobs out there.  And I say noobs in the nicest possible way.  I’m pretty much a noob too so we’re in the same boat and our boat is sinking in a sea of fancy internet words.  SEO has to do with my last post Make Money Getting Links.  Are they one in the same?  I don’t know, like I said I’m a noob too.  We’re on this journey together, non-existent reader.  Today, when I say SEO, search engine optimization, I say it as someone who does try to practice it whether incorrectly or not or I guess I could say correctly or not.  You should always speak in the positive.  I learned that from a sales conference I attended… I didn’t attend any conference.  I’m BS’ing right now.  Still want to make money though.  With SEO preferably.  We’re going to talk about plugins, SEO in general, post titles and links again…  Okay, enough preamble let’s get to it, shall we?

SEO

SEO, search engine optimization, is the act of making your site optimized for search engines.  I.e. you want to have your site appear high in search rankings.  See what I did there?  I gave you the definition of SEO.  Pretty swell, huh?  There’s a lot of people hawking products for SEO but from what I’ve learned from my real site is you don’t need to buy anything.  SEO products are rip-offs for total noobs.  Remember we’re noobs, not total noobs.  BIG difference.  Search engines, Google specifically, are designed to give their users the best results possible.  So you need to write posts that are on target for their given subject.  If you’re writing about SEO, write about SEO.  Also, don’t copy content from anywhere else.  Duplicate content gets you in trouble with Google.  Write long, original posts and hopefully you’ll get indexed and found in Google.  How’s that for exact instructions?

SEO Blog Titles

Your title should be on topic with your post subject.  You don’t want to get too cute with your titles otherwise you will confuse Google.  For instance, if you make the title, “This is What Jimmy Bob Taught Me,” then Google’s going to index you in their search engine for anyone who’s looking for what Jimmy Bob taught.  Keep your titles clean.  Notice my title for this post.  Make Money Fast, SEO.  There’s no confusion at all what I’m going for in Google.  I’m looking for people to find me who want to make money with SEO.  Simple, right?  So for SEO blog titles, don’t be cute. But if you absolutely have to be cute and want to do SEO…

SEO Plugin

Next step for SEO is a plugin I use on all my sites, it’s All in One SEO Pack.  It works wonders.  After you install it and activate it — obviously — you will see it below your posts you are currently writing.  You put in the clearest title possible in the Title area.  So even if you were cute in your blog post title, now you can put a clear title.  This title is hidden from your readers and will only be visible to Google.  You can’t put a title in there that has nothing to do with your blog post.. Well, you can, but you’d be doing more harm than good.  So if I were to call this post “My Way To Make Money” it’s not a clear title for the post, but I could put the title “Make Money Fast, SEO” in the title area of the plugin and Google would still know the real title.  There’s also an area there for a description.  Just summarize your post in the shortest possible way.  This description will show up in Google when people search for your title.  So for this post, I’ll put something like “Make money fast with SEO with this easy to follow advice…”  So someone searches and finds this post, they’ll see the title of “Make Money Fast, SEO” and under that the description of “Make money fast with SEO with this easy to follow advice.”  So write a clean title and an alluring description to suck people in.

Links For SEO

This was covered a bit in yesterday’s post.  Go ahead, scroll to it.  Google doesn’t know what your site is about, so if you get links calling your site, Make Money Fast — assuming you get a lot of those links — then Google will think anyone that searches for Make Money Fast will be looking for your site.  If you get links pointing to your site titled — Cool site — then when anyone searches for cool site they’ll find you.  But you would need about a million links for cool site since it’s such a generic term.  This comes into play with niche marketing.  If you have a blog about Sassafras, there’s a chance there’s not too many blogs about that.  So only a few links titled Sassafras are needed to move up in the search engine results.  It’s just a matter of competition.  You want more links than your competitors.  This is probably the biggest factor for SEO.  So make money fast, seo has everything to do with SEO, links for SEO and SEO titles.  You should be able to follow this simple advice and one day earn zero dollars like me!
