Make money blogging, that’s what I want to do!  That’s you talking.  With the way the recession is right now, people are looking to make money fast or just make money.  Am I right? Of course I am.  It’s my blog.  Everyone’s right on their own blog.  Instead of calling these things blogs people could easily call them soapboxes.  So how do you make money blogging?  There’s a few different ways with some tried and true advice from yours truly to help you.

Write Blog Posts About What You Know

This is really obvious.  If you have nothing to say, what are you going to blog about?  This is probably the biggest problem with blogs I see.  They aren’t saying anything.  You need a point of view to write blog posts.  To just sit there and talk about what someone else told you, then the other blog that you read at first is the one others will probably want to read too.  Why go to you when they can go to the actual expert?  Are you an expert on a subject?  How are you going to make money if you’re not an expert?  By rambling on? That’s my job.  That’s what I do.  I started my original blog because I wanted to talk about a given subject.  I was an expert.  I started this blog because I wanted to make money blogging but I had nothing to say about making money other than I want it.  So this blog is about making money blogging while not making any money.  That’s my niche!  Tell me one other blog out there that talks about making money while making none.  Yeah, I thought so.

Writing Long Blog Posts

Next thing I can say is write long blog posts.  This will help you make money blogging because it will give people more chances to find matches in the Google search results.  If you write posts that are nothing but a picture or nothing but a few words then there’s a good chance Google won’t find your posts as readily.  This is not to say you should ramble on for paragraphs with nothing to say.  That’s no help to anyone.

Put Ads On Your Site

When your site is ready.  How will you know when your site’s ready?  You install Google Analytics and watch to see when you start to get search traffic.  That’s when your site is ready to monetize.  There’s no reason to put ads on your site before you have any visitors.  If you put ads on your site while no one is there then you’re lame.  You wanna be lame? No, of course you don’t.  Once you’re ready to put ads on your site, I recommend Google Adsense.  Adsense isn’t going to make you any real money unless you have a lot of search engine traffic.  So there’s no reason to rush to put ads on your site until you see traffic coming in anyway.

Make Money Blogging

This is the advice I’m giving you on how to make money blogging.  Write long posts about subjects you know and puts ads on your site after people have started to find you.  Easy, right?  Not really.  More blogs start and fail then babies are born every day.  Some time in the near future there will be more blogs than people.  You’ll go to the corner store to buy yourself some milk and a blog will be there waiting in line in front of you then it’ll rob the store and you’ll be injured in the crossfire.  That’s right, it’ll happen.  So be thoughtful and start a blog yourself, but know the ramifications from trying to make money blogging.
